3500 Gallon

After thinking about this, I think the most efficient thing you could do is what I do with my water heater, give it a nice wrapping of insulation.. then cut out a viewing window for yourself. Then just heat the tank and not the room. If I stick my hand under the layer of insulation on my water heater it is almost too hot to touch.. so it pretty effective.

I didn't look through the link Pacu Mom posted, but if I remember correctly he used his hot water heater with a circulating pump through some PEX in the sump? If I were you OP this is the route I would take. From what I have seen this method works really well. I've seen several guys over on the reef forums take this route with their several thousand gal tanks.

Thank you for the many suggestions. I will for sure post pictures of the tank once i go and check it out again. I will have to talk to a buddy about the water heater. Most likely i will probably keep an oddball group of fish if they are able to be friendly. Most likely i will have the tank up in running in the coming months once i finish work in alaska. Thank you for the many suggestions again always helpful.

Looking forward to see this beast of a tank!
