I know this thread turned into a saga in hours. Truthfully I hate to doubt anyone but I can't see two teenage boys setting up that tank and making it work. Especially when the info that's been thrown at them hasn't soaked in. Just hope if they do get it they take the advice and don't end up with a algae infested cold tank with overgrown fish.

Then you haven't met me and my brother :grinno: . Honestly this really isn't that hard of a project you just have to have the least bit of knowledge about "construction" (I wouldn't call it so much as construction as just DIY junk) and the time and money for it. The $$$ is what holds most of us teens back. I know I could easily set up this tank if I had the money. Its not that hard these kids just have thick heads.

dude, my brother builds cars and motorcycles and parts of our house with my dad. i think were more than capable of doing what u do.

Than why can't you just understand a simple drawing and insist on buying everything instead of doing it the right way and MAKING it to the specs of the tank. That is not a normal tank in any way, shape, or form and it isn't just going to take to any normal off the shelf stuff. Your either going to spend a fortune buying the wrong stuff and failing or possibly save a few $ and do it the right way and build it to fit the tank.

p.s. tell your brother to post some pics of those giant 400gal cubes, I want to see one!!!

and if you are going to get this demonstration tank, I wanna see some pics of you guys swimming in it!!! ha ha ha, I would recommend stocking it lightly to keep the work down when it comes to water changes and gravel vacing that beast...
