Nice, looks like things are going good, make sure you have alot of copepods in your tank, because Mandarin Gobys are recommended for well established tanks, not for new tanks.. Not saying it wont work but I would hold off..
 
Yeah, I gave up on the mandarin idea. I'll leave it to the experts.

It's been a while since my last update. I was able to get rid of the Whelks, and decided to try out another Clam. I've noticed major growth due to heavy feeding a daily water changes. Here a some pics...
