After 2 weeks in the USA, I was glad to see all 5 gars doing well. i've got to say it's MUCH less of a headache with the reduced bioload
Anyway, here are some pics that i snapped after a wc and HUGE gravel vac this morning.
Cuban gars
currently the only florida gar in my care (I still have a florida & a longnose gar that resides in Reddragon343's enormous pond, and a gator gar holed up somewhere at Alcohologist's place)
wanted to show the cuban's colours, capturing it with the camera flash is something that has somehow still escaped me...
If you have a bio-load problem, having the right kind of plants helps a lot, they really soak up nitrate. I have water hyacinths (floaters) and my nitrate level is a constant zero.
