360 gallon build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oh ok, my bad. i thought they were only 2x2's. 2x2s screwed together are just as strong if not stronger than the 4x4s.

FYI, I'll more than likely pull the 180 on the left back and have the corners of the two tanks meet. That way, I'll probably skirt the 2 tanks together. Hopefully it looks like the two tanks will be one. :)

Looking good!
I did the same thing to create an false "L" tank. My only suggestion on it is don't put any items you need to access frequently in the back corner. I had one of my sumps in that area and it was a pain to change out mech. media or do any type of maintence back there...lol.

Haha! I was actually thinking about exactly that issue last night! I'm thinking I could set up a trap door system under the 360 so I could crawl to the back. Of course, I may not do it all. But I laughed as soon as I read your post. :)

LOL..you would have laughed even more to see me contort myself underneath the tank stands to change out filter floss.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

No, it certainly wouldn't be anything needing regular maintenance back there. It's just that if the empty space is 3x2, I can use that space for storing items or something. Considering the size of the fishroom, its a big space to be sitting empty.

Looking good. I need to get that kind of hookup on glass.
