Braces are now in place. Will pick up lids from the shop later today if he's not too busy.

Yew Wing is still trying to sell me those plat endlis, lol. I told him I can get very nice aros for the money he wants for those endli. :D
 
thinking of doing this for my 480 96x36x31 you think it can hold for a while or not???

Thanks. Cut the tank apart. There's enough silicone to slice it apart. :)

Okay, braces and lid hangers are on, front splash guards are on and unless it leaks, my house will clear from the smell of vinegar soon enough lol.

I spotted a nice piece of driftwood in a lfs yesterday so I picked it up. :)

Until I decide on a permanent colour for the background, I'm going to use a sheet of dark blue plastic material used in the hobby. I need to see it on the tank with water in it and lighting before I can make a final decision.

I can also now start to work on a design for a nice stand skin and canopy. :)
 
Looks sweet for the most part but... it doesn't look like your builder took a lot of care in the silicone fillets. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful tank, I just would have spent a couple extra hours masking and making them perfect.
