how do you make a tank and what are the materials because i want to make atleast a 100 gal or 200 gal to keep a few larger fish but i dont know wat fish if i ever get a 100 gal tell me whats the biggest fish i can put in there singly and wats the biggest fish i can put in a 200 gal singly.

If you've never built a tank,. I'd strongly advise against building a big tank until you have alot of experience with bulding smaller ones. There's lots of threads to read here though. :)

what fish you going to put in your fish tank

i can't wait to see

Occupants will be:

RTG aro
NTT dat
IT dat x 2
bichir x 4
occie pbass x 4 (gonna try, might be too small yet)
pair geophagus dicrozoster
pair rotkeil severums, (although female might be a bit small for aro)

And eventually, pair of giraffe cats that are currently about 3" right now. :)

Filling up, I started last night but found the tank was off level by about 3/4" so I drained it, shimmed the stand and proceeded to fill until about midnight. Got about 3/4 full and left it overnight. Set up an AC 500 on it just to turn the water over.

No drips after work today so I finished filling after picking up one of the filters. :D Threw a few heaters on it just to quickly get it up to temp. I don't know why, lol, there's no real rush, is there? :naughty:

The bottom of the overflow was not siliconed. And in case, I have not made it clear, the pump is going into the overflow where it will pump water into the ultima II filter and then back into the tank at the other end. It may seem quite odd, but it just seems simpler this way, considering the filter.

I'll also be moving my 75 gallon diy wet/dry over from the 180 once I'm ready to start moving fish.

lovin that filter. how much did you get the ultima filter for? $375.00?

Nice looking setup.
