Eleven Bravo, I paid $440 cdn for the filter, including taxes. Best price I could find. Even if I had bought it from Ebay where I think they sell for $375 US, it would not have landed this cheap.

Another step closer! the filter is smaller than I imagined - looks like it will work great! I know I should be more jealous. . . but, collecting in Uruguay has my brain ATM

Some fresh pix fro tonight....I bought all the pvc required but bought the wrong fitting for the darn pump so I can't finish plumbing the ultima tonight....
The guy at the pool filter store helped me set up a pretty cool return fitting with 2 jets attached. I hope it works well.
So tomorrow I'll pick up the right fittign for the pump, finish cutting the pvc and hopefully it will all be glued by tomorrow night.
I also removed the bio media from the ultima filter so as to be able to do a set up run before using the media. The media is "pre-seeded", so I don't want to wet it until the filter is ready for use.
