i think thats the normal price then. i was debating either buy lil fx5 or just go for the ultima 1000. i got a quote a my local lfs 450.00usd out the door. Happy to see theres no leak. Black white pvc doesnt matter really, if anything you can paint it later. keep up the good work.

Thats a sweet setup for the return
Could always give it a coat of black Krylon fusion spray paint. I've been fooling around with it in saltwater and it hides plumbing very well. Even safe in the water as long as you cure it long enough.

I'm in the proces of doing a "dry" run. Finished gluing all the plumbing today after a weekend of chasing skirts and playing poker.
I was hoping to be moving all the fish today but didn't get the chance due to some unforeseen circusmtances that I"ve since corrected. 
ie. plumbing leaks.
I wanted to move them early enough in the day so I could watch them for a few hours after they settle in. The tank and plumbing are ready to go so tomorrow right after work, I'll move water and fish hopefully. I'll also have to add the bio media to the ultima.
I added another elbow to the return line and now the jets are horizontal. They totally rock. There's no dead spots in the tank, I don't think. Pics tomorrow.
Thanks for your help with the vibration issue. I also put foam under the filter and that helped as well.
