I love how people ASSume that because you have large holes in your ears you are destined to work at McDonalds the rest of your life. I have 1/2" plugs in my ears and I make WAY more than minimal wage at a professional job.

So unfortunate there are still people that think like this. I can go into just about any store or business in any major city and find people in 'professional' positions covered in tattoos or piercings. I have 3 friends covered head to toe in tattoos that own their own businesses and gross over $250k annually each. To say getting tattoos/piercings will limit your choices in life is ignorant. There are tons of people in suits/ties with tattoos and piercings, you just may not see them exposed. And, most jobs/employers are not at all concerned with your looks, but how you well perform.

People call them "gauges" because you measure the size in gauges. Example: 12 gauge, 10 gauge up until you get to O and OO then it's just actual size. Also those aren't plugs...

was the auto gauge thing a joke? i guess the entire body jewelery business is out of wax because i would've called them gauges too. oh wait, i typed in wood ear gauges and those same ones came up on google = )
