i agree that your hair has been pretty awesome. one of the first things that stood out in your original avatar pic.

What about leah? i've only seen one hair style, you been keepin it stylish too?

Mehh. Not here as of late. I'm trying to bring the hair back to health so it can be long and lovely. But I've had some different hairs.

I read the first two pages of this thread, and had to stop. I just wanted to say:

I think body piercings are sexy on a woman (in a very sexual way), but in all truthfulness it IS much more difficult to get a job with visible piercings and tattoos. Everyone in the world is not open to extreme body modification.

I also think many folks pierce or tat themselves up to fulfill their desire to have a certain image. I used to think I wanted to be covered in tats because it was hardcore, but I realized that no matter how much I told myself and my friends that "I did it for me", I was lying. There would be no logical explanation for doing it otherwise.

If you like pain, there are thousands of other ways to inflict pain upon yourself that don't leave visible deformities as you age.

Some people say they have done it to respect the ancient African cultures or some nonsense.... You don't adopt ancient cultures because they pierce their skin... If thats he truth, then how come you never studied the culture you are trying to practice?

With that being said, its still pretty sexy when you are young and you will probably either grow out of it or be the old lady with the tats and piercings that works waffle house for then next 50 years. Yes, there are many exceptions, but the odds are stacked against you. Just keeping it real folks.

Deny the fact that not all people are unbiased and open minded when hiring employees all you want, but denial won't change the facts. I have tattoos and stuff, but none of it is visible in the work place.

All I can say is, I didn't realize I was applying for a job when I posted this thread. The fact that jobs have been the major topic is quite amusing to me. I can see a collective assumption that what I do with my body is wrong to probably 99% of the people out there. But like I've said a hundred times, I don't do it for them. I don't do it to fit in, stay true to some cultures in other countries. I do it because I want to. I have tattoos because I wanted them. I will live with them for the rest of my life. With no regrets.

Oh my dear. It's not like we are 16 year old kids, dude. I didn't get any serious tattoos until like 2 years ago. My ears were pretty small up until about a year ago. I do have tattoos because I like them.. I have my ears stretched because I like them. I do what I like.. there is no one I'm trying to fit in with. i don't care to have any jobs that won't hire me because I apparently look freakish. To be honest I think I look pretty damn normal. It's also not like Tay is going to go into a job with her big ol' hoop ear rings and be like "What up boss?! I got the job right?!" haha. I don't know.. I guess this is more of a generalization. I do agree that KIDS should think more into than just style and think more about the future. But we AREN'T kids. We are full grown women. Haha whatevs. Who's to say we don't already have careers?!?

Hi my name is Leah. I have big ear holes and Zombie fish tattoos because all of my friends are doing it and I want to fit in. Did I mention that I'm 25? Apparently, I also enjoy pain. (probably why I also got knocked up 3 times) Getting zombie fish tattoos is the newest cool trend.. I think EVERYONE is totally doing it. I really really want an office job where I will make tons of money but I know I'll never have that now because I'm a total freak and an outcast to the world. :nilly: :banher:

You are taking my post out of context. I know my text is a bit scatterbrained, but I assume you can understand that I wasn't personally attacking you or anyone with piercings. I was simply saying that potential employers do often pre-judge employment prospects by their outward appearance, and so do others. Whether it be positive or negative, it happens. I read many posts denying this fact in the first couple of pages. That's all, I'm off the soapbox in this thread.
