36x18x25 65 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Let's see:

48x12 55 = 576 sq. in. floor space
36x18 65 = 648 sq. in. floor space

The 65 not only gives you 10 more gallons (actually 12 because it's truly a 67 gallon tank), but also gives 72 sq. in. or 12% more floor space.

Total floor space and front to back is more important than length.

One FH would be fine in 65.

What's funny is the same people who say that 65 is too small will tell you that a pair can fit in a 75. They can, but it's ridiculous when you say that you can keep two fish in a tank that is ONLY 12" and 10 gallons larger.

Ah yes, but what size pair? You can breed a 7" pair of fish in a 75G, but a full grown 14"+ fish starts to get really cramped.

i also like the looks of the 65 better then the 55 so much wider and only a foot shorter much better in the past a lot of my fish do not even use a lot of the tank lol

agreed. I have a 65 tall and the 18 inches of width gives your fish a lot of room compared to tanks only 12 inches wide.
