375 gallon glass tank build

That is absolutely awesome!

Question on plumbing the pump. What diameter line did you use and how many lines do you have installed? Just curious as you might run into flow problems like I did not having it plumbed correctly. Although you do not have the head height issues that I do.

As far as drip try is concerned, just go to Lowes and pick up a sheet of the plastic pegboard. It works great for making drip plates. Heck, I might even have some at the house I'll give you. Let me know what size you need and I'll see what I have.

Last thought.....again....sorry for breaking your door. LOL Did you get all that squared away?

Man I am so glad to see this tank sitting in your house loaded up with water! I looks so sick just sitting there!

I definitely agree that your "extra" jack is probably overkill, but hey, why not? Have you ever had any freezing issues with your drain-line being outside of the house?

Congrats again on the big move! I'm loving the look...

Tilapia- Thanks for the tip. I will even out the biomedia and can add some pvc supports. I do have a sheet of eggcrate sitting on top of the biomedia (underneath the filter pads), but adding some pvc to help support couldn't hurt.

Bobby- I have 6 return lines that are each 3/4". I talked to the guys at glass-holes, and this is what they recommended for their Dart overflow box. Hopefully this will work out ok. I looked for the plastic pegboard at lowes, but couldn't find any. The door is fixed, and breaking it was a necessary step to get the tank in the house.

MaddMax- I have never had any freezing issues with the drain. If you look at my first crawl space picture, you will notice some black tubing running from my water supply. This is actually the water supply for my drip line. It is 1/4" plastic tubing and runs very near one of the crawl space vents to outside. I was concerned about this line freezing during the winter, but it never has in 2 years.

BassinKorea- Yes, the sump fits pretty tightly under my stand. Not much room to work. That is one thing I would change if I had to do it over again. I have to work around the joists supporting the top of the stand. I figure it's too late to do much about that now.

The peg board is a bit tricky to find. Its right by the light diffuser at Lowe's. I'll see if I can dig up a piece tonight.

Nice Work Mike! Can't wait to see it completely finished and stocked! Keep up the excellent work!

If you have space, it'd be a good idea to add some union ball valves to either side of the pump so that you can easily remove the pump for servicing.
