Should be fine. I use a 15 gal for a breeding pair then transfer the fry to a 5 gal then into the 29 growout until they're bite size.

20 as a breeder is perfect.........Any other tank, nothing smaller than a 20, is great for growouts.........I use 55-60g for growout though.......
I have cons that have been growing like 3 months and they are still like slightly upwards of 1" very slow growers IMO. So wouldn't recommend them as feeders as they grow impossibly slow. You're better off buying a bunch of mollies and guppies. Way quicker breeders and growers. Good luck

/\ agreed. cons grow way to slow. takes half a year to hav a decent size fish worth being a feeder. and like previously mentioned youd need a large grow out tank for them to grow. and after u put ur 1st batch in there what r u gunna do with the next months batch? because cons notoriously prey on younger cons when they r growing up. i started out looking to do the same thing but now i just hav a convict colony lmao. however if bred in a community tank they make small little quick snacks even w parents there
