ive built one of those before .... good idea .... i have a post on how i built my wet dry too i was thinking of going with that again .....

nice, I think that's the route you should take... I know people also use ultima filters but they are a fair bit of money and you need to purchase a pump. I would just go with the trickle tower

Problem is it's such a big tank you need that turn over of water in the tank to lift the gunk of the bottom and into the filtering equipment if you don't it will buildup on the bottom and you will have to vacuum it out (unless you use dirt as a substrate)

no dirt ... tile and i wanna put powerheads in .... a 400l tank for a wet dry should surfice

yes sir ... bare bottom ..... maybe a large piece of driftwood a couple of meters long !
