Just wanted to share my Monster Kingfish.
I caught this one on a live gar in a place called Coffins Bay, South Australia a couple of months ago.
Gave me one hell of a fight, They are a very tough fish !
And they have a natural instinct to run for snags, pylons, anchor ropes,
anything thay can wrap the line around to break you off.
Awsome Fun ! :grinno:

They're not too common that size anymore are they? On the shows they always get them at less then 10kg

Yeah, there are plenty of smaller ones around, But every year they come into the shallow channels of Coffins Bay to spawn. Around October to December 20 to 40 Kilograms. Thats about the minimum size, The bay is full of MONSTERS !!!
Makes for some awsome fishing, in calm protected waters.
There are also plenty of big snapper and sharks too.
