Looking at the photos you posted that pond looks like a good candidate for this type set up. Just a suggestion.
This pond uses a leach field type drain baried 12 inches below ground.
A continuous flow of water to maintain the pond.
A large canister filter to run the waterfalls and the fountain.
Use land scaping blocks to out line the pond.
Use 12 inch patio blocks to cap the surface or ledge of pond.
Place the drain from the top water level of the pond to the leach field type drain field run the drain field to each side of pond around 8 feet or so.
You can place flowers around the pond and the water draining from the pond will help maintain the flowers or vegetation the nitrate from the pond makes a good fertilizer.
