So I'm wanting to buy a 3d background for my 150gal, the backside wall dimensions are 72 x 24in. The real kicker is, is that right smack dab in the middle ( on top of the tank) is a structural divider. So my question is, is there a way to fit a 3d background in without taking that out....which i will not period. I've seen some backgrounds that are flexible but they lack depth, i didn't know if there was any out there that have 2-5in kickout depths and is flexible enough to fit in there. If anyone has any suggestions or links to some 3d backgrounds that will work out please send them this way.

You'll have to cut the background into pieces, (preferably halves or thirds) and piece it back together in the tank when you silicone it into place.

If you're serious about it, you could make a 72"x24" mock up out of cardboard or something and see if you can angle it in. I was able to fit a 48" background in my tank even though there's braces every 20" or so.

I just got mine from designsbynature and it came in 2 halves and fit perfect in the tank (with a little triming that took 5 mins to do). The middle brace in my tank didn't effect it at all and if anything all you will have to do is do a small cut in the top of the background for the brace that will take you 2 minutes to do. The background cuts very easy and here is a picture above for your reference and i'm going to be doing my 220 her soon also:

Mine was broken in 3 psc when I got it but I would have had to cut it anyway to get it in. Originally it was in a 110 gallon then I moved and attached it to this 165 gallon. No seams show at all and it went right back together in the new tank.
