ok so im not actually looking for a DIY project, because well... im probably too lazy, but i didn't know where better to post this. i'm trying to find an affordable grey 3d background for an 8' x 2' tank. this one would probably be perfect http://www.notjustfish.com/AquaTerra-Slimline/Mesa-Rockwall-18-Grey.html except for the fact that the grey version simply does not exist, and i really dont like the other color.

if anyone has any suggestions for an alternative interlocking background, or can show me some pictures of the other color in their tanks to try to convince my im wrong about the clayish color, i would be appreciative.

thanks in advanced.

thanks for the link. most of their stuff in that same yellowish clay color that im not a huge fan of. they have only one option for tanks over 72" and its the same color as the mesa rockwall, only slimmer with less detail.

had a look at that link, did you inquire if they were coming back in stock? If not, might be able to get a custom order made.

i inquired about a year ago. the answer was that they may make it again, but it would be so far away that they wouldn't even bother to take my contact info. so now about a year later im looking again. there's http://www.aquadecor.ca/ i was just checking to see if there was anything possibly cheaper and essay to install. for all i know 3 new background companies could have started up since i last checked.

both of those links seem like they might have viable panel options, but i worry about seems, so i'll try to dig up some pictures of tanks that have used 2 or more panels in them and see how they look.

These ae the panels when I got tem and when in my 5ft tank

that seem isn't too bad. seems like it will be about $300 from what i saw in their catalog, higher then id like, but actually pretty reasonable. so now i need to see if i can figure out how to order it.
