I'm thinking about setting up one of my spare 55's as my first pure African Tank. That said I'm looking for a website that has a good variety of 3D backgrounds that would fit a 55 without trimming. I've seen some nice ones like the rock crevices and Big tree roots, but none for a 55. Also not looking for the ones that are gonna severely reduce the depth of my tank, or break the bank. One's that are like 1-2" thick would be awesome.

Check out aquaterra International as well as Design by Nature they have them in all sizes. I got mine from aquaterra for my 150g expensive but gorgeous!

aquascapeonline sells them as well if you can find them in stock but i just checked out aquaterra designs and id go that route!!
Try making one! It really isnt all too difficult, it just takes a little bit of time, patience, and determination. I built one for my 60g.
+1 for designs by nature. Really excellent company and they have lots of sizes and different designs. I know they have a few precut 55 gallon ones, and I'm sure any of the 48"x24" designs could be easily cut to fit as well (they will probably cut them for your for no charge too).
