Hello everyone, are there any more updates to this project? It's exactly what I want to do with a 660gl that I'm looking at buying.

Great job thus far!:headbang2

Cool! Good to know. Just out of curiosity, what does an "extended period of time"? I just know for some that means 2 months, others its 2 years, and others it 15 years....
I have done many many scapes and in my early ones I used great stuff and styrofoam. Some of those tanks have been up and running for around 5 years now.

I generally don't use styrofoam anymore as I prefer scapes that do not require being siliconed into the tank but I still use great stuff for some things.

I couldn't get it out of the can. The nozzle is supposed to flex, but the stuff must have solidified in it.

Anyway, I got a new can and used that. I started with the drylok just now.
I use acetone to clean it. It will dissolve Great Stuff pretty much on contact. On old cans where it has plugged the can I just use a toothpick to make some room in the tip on the can and then pour a little acetone in, wait an hour and it sprays.

Another trick is to cut the tube that comes with the Great stuff into 2 inch or so pieces and then slide air line over it and use that for getting into tight spots.

I ended up selling this tank. I plan to resurrect it in the future though; I'm changing the stock of my 120 in about 2 months, so I might build a BG for it.

Subscribed, Here is a question, did you prepare for the ph swings that drylock usually causes.

One of the reasons people use drylok is to prevent the pH increase caused by concrete; as far as I know it doesn't affect pH
