well i add water yesterday and put one of my knife fish in there water kind a get cloudy and today i change the almost all water in there so will see if its gonna turn cloudy again, so far fish doing good, when i put first water into tank i tested all ph, kh, amonia, nitrete etc all was in good level, ph was like 7.8 , it was all good, here its looks like now after 2nd water change, hopefully wont get cloudy again ;)

Can you give me a list of materials that you used? I tried it once before (you can probably still find the thread) and it ended up being a disaster. I used the wrong cement, no fiberglass, no epoxy, and no time. But I really want to retry (on a smaller scale, maybe just a 10 or 20g) and see if i can make something "living room worthy"
 
I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents for all of you using paint taht you are unsure of how safe for fish it is. If you cover the paint with resin or epoxy any uncovered resin or epoxy will break down with exposed to sunlight. Sometimes the fiberglass may even turn yellow in the long run. Once the resin breaks down it will expose what ever is behind it releasing toxins in the water. Think of when you see and older import tuner car and the carbonfiber hood usally it looks yellow and flakey most times thats not a clear coat thats resin breaking down.
