Thanks to everone for the help. He just ate three small pieces of fd krill. Will not even look at the baby crickets he ate before. Will try the fd bloodworms. What temp should I keep the water?

i keep mine at 80 constant. stability is key.

wow wonderful that he is trying different things.. good to give him very small meals and try 3xs a day..small amounts of food more often is best for a baby this small.. your very lucky because he seems like a little dynamo eating that well already.. best of luck with the new baby.:)

Mine ate FD shrimp, FD blood worms, but really liked FD brine shrimp at that age considering its a whole lot easier to get down. After the little guys been eating for a week consistantly, I personally would try feeding him broken up pieces of hikari food sticks to make sure he gets a balanced diet. I would stay away from any live food though considering they might contain parasites or diseases that could make your baby aro sick or even cause death. For fun, I'd try broken up pieces of hikari carnivore sinking pellets to see if he likes to chase it....also, mine grew like a fat kid on cake after I started feeding him those.....plus he likes the chase, kinda like live food without the risks involved. If you are to feed the baby feeder and what not, make sure to quarintine them for a couple weeks and gut load them with hikari food stick (crumbled of course) and same with the crickets, but also throw some carrots as well to keep them hydrated. ;) Good luck, its awesome watching them grow up.

Thanks again for all the help. He ate the krill and I also picked up fd bw and he liked them also. Raised temp to 80 and will keep up on the water changes. Would be nice to raise one from this size.

sounds like he is doing just awesome.. just make sure you keep weight and holes taped on top of tank too.. want to protect that baby...:D

Talk about small silvers. Recently I saw some 4 inchers been sold here too in singapore... they darn small and they're almost transparent under strong light.:WHOA:

water changes like crazy! Keep the water 100%!!!! I feed them blood worms and tiny gut loaded crickets and little pieces of FD krill. After feeding, vac ANY leftover food and keeping the lights off is a good idea too. I actually don't have any lights on my baby silver tank, but it gets some natural light from a big window.

Why wouldn't you want any light? Aros are top water fish, so they are going to see day light in the wild, it's not like a bottom dwelling cat that might live in deep water that might hardly see much light ever... jmo plus i've noticed a full spectrum light helps brighten colors...
