Thanks for the ideas. I guess I'm looking for an aquarium caulk- (ing)? lol. I dont believe Id be able to get the stuff from the uk as its a VAT or whatever, and I think everything registered VAT has to be shipped by ground to wichita, Kansas ( where I'm located). So an ideas on some aquarium caulking??

did you look online to see if HA6 marine adhesive silicone can be purchased in the US? I think it would be perfect if we could get it here in north america.

3m5200 is fine, been using it for a couple years now. On my 180, now on my 330. I will continue using it with NO worries.

I used 5200 to seal my glass and the tank has been up and running since last summer with no issues and the fish are all healthy and thriving. If you are using any kind of liquid rubber product to seal your tank i'd recommend it as the way to go.

Do you think the 3m 5200 will bond to the sweetwater? and to the glass. Id like to seal the interior edges, and over screws. But I suppose I could just use wood glue? Any thoughts?

My goal after assembling the tank is to seal the interior edges and cover screws. Paint over this onto the wood. Seal my glass to my frame with a sealant that will bond to the sweetwater. Seal the interior edges of the glass, then do a 2 - 3 inch overlap of sweetwater onto the glass, over the seal. Im thinking the seal from interior glass to the wood will add some flexibility. Then overlapping for extra strength.

bluemax/liquid rubber/ pond coat. Silicone wont stick worth of Sh*t to those. If 5200 can stick to them, it will stick to sweetwater without a doubt.

Wear gloves when using 3m, trust me.
