3rd NTT death for me in 4 years of fish keeping (11.5")

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks guys! I never gave up on NTTs being my favorite datnoids but losing this big guy has really hit home...

I don't think the ST is not gonna die anytime soon. I've had it for close to 3 years and its as fat as it can bee. It can handle the chasing of my other fish. Most of my fish eat market shrimp 2-3 times a week.

sorry for your loss.
it is bad when you lose fish and you feel like giving up i lost a motoro and a 10 inch dat all in 1 week and i wanted to throw it all in but you just have to carry on.

Hi,

Yea....I lost my marble stingray(bought it only for 3 mths) and blood red arowana (already been 5 yrs) last 2 mths....I feel so bad but I still conitnue looking for better and take more precaution next time. I learn that start with small fish is always more fun and cost less and worry less. So Don't invest in big size costly fish unless you got all equiptment really and you sure they can be with you for long.

Cheers.

Sorry to hear/read about your loss.I also have recently dealt with a devastating dat loss and I also felt like giving it all up.

Sorry to hear about your loss man. It is a monster. There is no such thing SDS. I've kept many NTT before. Never had 1 die without reason before. It has to be parasite (all the dats are WC or stress out from the other fishes in the tank. Another reason sounds very funny but I knew a owner cause his NTT dead because he fed the fish too much until his belly so big. That is very bad for ANY fish in a long run.
