3rd of July collecting mishap

We call them Dock Spiders. Because they live under our docks. They have tiny little hairs on their feet that enables them to walk on top of the water.

I dont know different species though. I just know i've seen those before and they get nasty HUGE.
 
Ugh... I would have gone crazy and jumped into the water if I was in your position. I hate spiders.
 
So did you collect anything? That's what I want to know. :) Funny story though, I like spiders and an not scared of them but I still don't like being suprised by one crawling on me.
 
I don't know what it is, but I have seen one like it collecting on the lower Pascagoula River. It scared the hell outta me.

I was on the Escawtaba River close to the Franklin creek rd exit off of I-10

the trap was empty, i did get some creeping primrose for my tank though

was definatly a fishing or nursery web spider, the shape was right but i do not remember that it had all that detail.

I was not bitten by the spider, and as far as i know it is still in the boat

when ever i would fling it out of the boat, it would swim back to it.
