210's are making a comeback :) Keep 'em coming...And where did that mystix kid go? LOL!

standard US 210's are 72" long, 24 wide and 29 tall. ive tried to find 7x2x2's and i cant find em unless their custom. i'd just get 2 180's, their cheaper than 210s and you dont really need the 5" extra height that the 210 has over the 180. how bout 3 180's?

This is an easy one..

4x 125s..

Each tank is 6 foot.. the cichlids care about the length of the tank, and you can have 24 feet of tank or 12 feet of tank.

The 6" extra inches of depth might help for larger fish (16"+), and would help with things like rays.. BUT, not for cichlids that get in the 10-14" range.. you want that 24 feet of tank.

The height on the 210s are worthless too.. try to find 180s for cheaper.. Or even 6x2x18"s..

PM your price quotes (with glass lids/lights) and I will see if I can hook up 4 on our 'special' day ;) ;)

G'luck.

How much cheaper? Does allglass make a 180?

There was a guy on here who had 4x125's double stacks in a big quad on one wall of his garage.. breeding frontosas. It was sick, wish I had the pix. He built 1 stand to hold all 4 tanks.

I would go with 4 125's if I were keeping multiple tanks. But since I am downsizing to just one tank I would rather have the 210. It helps not so much with the length, but the overall bioload. Oh, and for the record. Unless you special order a tank, the standard size 210 gallon tank is 6 ft long. All the fish stores in the area say that is the largest non-special order tank they can get.

I voter for the 210. I have one now and the 2 foot depth is quickly becoming too small. Any thinner than 2 feet is useless IMO.

On the other hand, I have been noticing A LOT of this size tanks popping here on MFK. If I were buying one now, I may consider a different size.
