Been out of the Datnoid game for a couple of years.

Until today.

Paid $100 for a 4" NTT (slightly wider bars), from a LFS that generally has cheap/fair prices.

Believe price is appropriate for today's market. Still on the higher side but appropriate. Most places I've see available for the most part is online auction sites. Those prices are highly inappropriate, lol.

Nowadays lfs don't want to bring them in due to them being a sensitive fish. Just my opinion. Mine brought in a dozen @ 2" for $60. Nice thick bar ntt.

The bars are thicker than typically seen for a NTT. But not as thick as a 3bar IT. My goal isn't for it to grow too fast as I fear for the 4-5" roseline sharks and barbs.

Yes monster fish aquarium has them and in good shape. They are 4 to 5 inches. $60 and they are fully stocked with these guys as of 8pm today when I picked it up. It is my first NTT Datnoid so don’t know to much about them. If anyone has tips on what to feed them please let me know. Not live feed.
Thanks

Look at it this way...lfs's know someone's gonna buy that dat, hes a nice looking pet. Everyone would not tell that they paid $100 for a small fish. You got him..enjoy him..he'll bring you more than $100 of happiness.
