5 hours is a lot? That's how far my nearest airport is. I consider that a short trip, or at least the shortest drive I get to make to obtain fish. 15 sucks....LOL :grinno:
Seriously though, IF you didn't start with Blackworms I would definetly try some ASAP.
A safe bet with new rays refusing food is always fresh live Blackworms and live Ghost Shrimp.
I'm assuming it's isolated from any other fish?

Yes, fish is isolated from all others, temperature is at 82-84. I did notice an amonia burn spot underneath yesterday. Which I can't understand considering how often I've been doing WC's with the salt. The tail seems to be doing better though. I just did a four day treatment with the triple sufla and only used about 40% of the recommended dosage because it seemed hit and miss with people I spoke with. Some though it would be too strong for the ray.

I'm going to give a little conflicting advice. Make sure your adding only 1 lb of salt per 100 gallons and no more. Make sure you dissolve the salt first in a bucket of conditioned water then add slowly to the tank after a water change. Do 1/3 water changes every 2-3 days and use aquasafe, hakari or another water conditioner besides prime. Mix your water in a clean garbage can or something before adding to your tank. Keep your tank covered. Stop medicating. Feed live blackworms if you can, if you can't put a worm in every 12 hours and take out the one not eaten until it starts to eat. What are you currently using for a water conditioner?

I was using aquasafe but I recently switched to prime. I'll start to add the salt to the buckets of conditioned water and let it sit and slowly add to the tank. I have been pouring it into a fish net and letting it disolve out at the top of the tank.

Do not use prime when using meds. Me and a few other peolple have found that it has irratated the ray when used in conjunction with meds. Go back to aquasafe and premix in a large garbage can. On your last mix in the garbage can add your salt and make sure it is all disolved before adding to the tank. Only do water changes every 2 to 3 days so to put less stress on the ray. I don't feel you need the meds anymore also.

what are your water parameters? I assume there are no ammonia, nitrite and very little nitrate?

raise your temperature to 86 degrees, I've heard of many success stories with sick rays by simply raising the temperature, sometimes as high as 88 degrees.

I would stop adding needless medication/chemicals in the tank, unless you're certain that the ray is sick from a identifiable disease or infection. The medication could kill off your bacterias and alter the properties of your water which adds even more stress to your fish.

it's already been weeks, so just stop what you're doing, test your water, add fresh new carbon into your filter to remove the chemicals, raise the temperature, try live black worms and just sit tight.

The meds were added last week. I've sinced put the carbon cartridges back into the hob and have done multiple water changes. I'll up the temp. and do water changes every 2 days or so now. I did notice an open sore on the bottom of her yesterday, it appeared similar to an amonia burn. She had amonia burn when first placed in the tank but with all of these water chages I would think it would have healed up by now. Could a substrate change have caused sores to develop undearneath? I removed 90 percent of the pfs that was in there just in case. The majority of the bottom is bare.

why do you keep altering your tank? constant change only adds stress to your fish, taking out the substrate not only stress out the ray but you're also removing precious bacteria that lives on those substrate.

like I said, STOP what you're doing, because it's NOT working.

please test your water.
