Very nice fish RockyGoldy love how the Bichir and Turtle look in the sand.

Yeah..they do look good together..esp they have the somewhat the same color tone...

maybe I will take some video shots during feeding session..

Your lucky if you can even find one for sale. The only ones I've ever seen in person were at the Detroit Zoo. If been setting up tables at the reptile show here in michigan every month for the past year and a half, and I've attended ones all over the country. I can honestly say I've never seen one for sale.

i can get them lmk

That estimate sounds about right. That reptile website that you go to zach
www.kingsnake.com.. they sell mata matas there i think.

Mata matas are wild looking... but they are not fully aquatic and need a place to bask.

Actually they are ok 24/7 in the water..but one thing to note..they are very poor swimmers..so no strong current in the tank and also, the tank water cannot be too deep...as they do not swim too well...too deep of water may cause them to drown if they cannot swim up in time to breath.

I see. Some literature say they bask and some dont. Its confusing..
But ive never kept them first hand so i ill take your word for it. :)

tank water cannot be too deep

this is what i meant by not fully aquatic. Cant mix them with your monsters as it needs shallow water. I was looking into mata matas last year.
