how can i make this sump better i want to add mor walls if i should
and what type of media should i put in there for the setup

I would add a drip tray so you can better use your wet/dry area. Also I would use the space on the right for any other equipment and add a bulkhead for an external pump.

If it was me, I would lower the tray that is holding the media that way you can fit more and then add some sort of drip try with a filter pad over it. You don't need any more dividers in there

whate would the air stones do in sump?
and if the air stones are ine the sump i wouldnt need to put airstones in the tank?

I would ditch the drip tray and the bio media and crate a refugium... bacteria only takes care ammonia/nitrite and produces nitrate... plants remove all three and produce carbon dioxoide which gases off...


I would make a couple walls/baffles to hold mechanical media, then refugium, then pump...

Bacteria needs air to survive, the more air in the sump the better.
