4 " GATF DEAD.

I've found that ATF get SUPER spastic if the tank is left dark. Running your typical blue moon lights is enough to solve the problem. My ATF are SO favorable to the moon lights that if instead of having all of them on to cover the entire length of the tank, if I only have one on (which only covers about 18" of tank), the ATF will hover in the light the ENTIRE night without leaving it.

They feel much safer when they can see what they're doing. They are extremely visual animals after all. In the dark, their tendency is to spazz at every little thing. I've lost two to smashing into the tank in the dark.

Well , round two will have one. I am not giving up . I have lost some in the past through no fault of my own , but never GATF. Only FATF . They schooled together great. Started out with a dozen. But you get one that acts a little funny and its like they gang up on him. They weed out the week ones it seems like. That was in the early 1990's. Before anyone knew much about them. I have really learned alot in the twenty plus years of keeping them. Usually ,I leave the TV on at night, but it wasn't on that night it died. Maybe that was it. If I could just get them to get chill . But that's everybodys problem. Right?
