indo tiger wont do well in pure FW. cos in e wild they thrive in brackish water

is that true? cuz i know some ppl here with indos in full fresh and they are doing fine.

Indos will be fine in full fresh.

There sure is alot of ppl here on MFK that usally dont have a idea what they are talking about. All dats can be kept in freshwater (i have every species) with no problems for the rest of its life but they will benefit from using a little FRESHWATER salt in their aquarium. Also dont go by just the "tail stripes" usally the body shape and the middle stripe is alot better ID than the tail stripes.

very much correct in regards to the markings. i've got 8 indo's with what could be described as full necklace and widebar markings but the middle bar doesn't quite curve backwards like a proper widebar. that's the easiest way to tell whether it is or not. still a beautiful fish and i find when you keep a group you can get some to grow on a lot faster as they jostle for supremacy. a little freshwater salt is beneficial but i know many that keep them 100% fresh with no problems whatsoever and i don't know anyone keeping them in brackish.

fresh water is fine

cambelli NGT are listed as brackish water mine has been in full freshwater for 5 years no problems at all and its the most aggressive of all my tigers the others dont mess with him :D

indos for shure... all of them;)
