We have two, both came at the same time as babies from LFS. When they'd finished all the playing dead stuff one started to bully the other, although it's chilled out a lot since it still likes to show the other one who's boss from time to time and will refuse to let the other one have any food unless it's been fed first. It's almost twice the size as the other one but they both are fine.

As yours are a lot older if it carries on much more I'd think about moving it if you have another suitable tank. Ours are in a 65 and still have plenty of room to give each other enough space at the moment, will need to look at (yet) another upgrade in the end though.

Good luck hope they chill out soon

wil update after they spend a few days in the quarantine tank...thx for the info

That wrestling is just to establish pecking order...I had two that were pals until one day they decided to have it out...alot of thrashing and lip biting, but they'll be fine probably...keep an eye on them but ya gotta let nature take it's course...

yep...hope it takes a calmer course;)
they seem ok now...but the two albino's are floating head towards the top:screwy:

if you ask around people will tell you that oscars dont go with many tank mates... but if you look at pictures of peoples tanks you will see Oscars with a variety of different monsters. Just start them with a tank mate young and make sure it cant fit in there mouths now...or any time in the future.

the water's good...i just changed 10% water and they seem fine now...swimming freely and blowing gravel. And stalking fish in the adjecent tank :D

can anyone suggest tankmates?
they are all 4-5 inch
and also, what size do they start laying eggs?
Nice Oscars you got there.
And for tankmates heres what I suggest if you have a big tank.....
Silverdollars
Tinfoil Barbs
Arowana
JD
Severums
ETC......

Also Join my Oscar league!

Oscars Are super intellegent..... that should speak for itself

Good looking Oscars! If they are going in the 105gal you mentioned then no tank mates. They will need something larger than a 125,if You plan to keep them all long term

as soon as you get them in the big tank the fighting should fizzle and nice pickup.

You're going to need bigger than a 105 gal tank, sorry. The tank size normally recommended for Oscars is 55 gal each and that's with NO tankmates. They get a foot long, 3-4" tall and several inches wide. And with 4 you run an huge risk of the 4 not getting along. If the fighting's starting already it's sure not going to get any better when they hit sexual maturity at 7-8". I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone's gotta do it :-)
