Just picked up 4 red belly at from the lfs today. They are all about the size of a quarter. Are in a 30g breeder tank that used to house a 6" oscar. Will be in the tank for a few months while i am building up a 75 for them. Would have the new tank up and running sooner but i just recently broke my right leg and left ankle in a dirtbike accident so i am kinda limited to what i can do. lol

at this size do you think they would eat it would be good for them to eat worms. like nightcrawlers. they have only been in the tank maybe 30 minutes and they have already eaten some pellets
um... why do people post when they dont know squat.. its really annoying..
you can feed them almost anything really... i personally use shrimp, night crawlers, goldfish pellets, and once in a while a sunfish..
if i were you id get them on pellets ASAP cuz its really hard to do when they get bigger.

ya i have fed them pellets already today and the ate them annd seemed to enjoy them. i believe that is what they were eating at the fish store. i noticed that they had a few gold fish in the tank with them and when i asked if thats what they were feeding them the lady said they were jusy there so the piranha would pick on the gold fish instead of eachother...you think maybe i should put a few in my tank or just keep them well fed
