Couple of quick questions for the P community.

1: is it ok to run x2 aqua glow tank bulbs if the tank has suitable cover? if not could i just remove one of the bulbs?

2: Their deit currently consits of mixing up feeds with either bloodworms, cichlid pellets, whitebait, white fish fillets like cod tapila, king prawn and squid rings possibly do one beef heart feed a month as a treat? is this diet varied enough to promote good growth and colour?

3: For schedual wise, im planning on doing 30% water changes ever week on the the saturday, so far the tank has no algae on the glass whatso ever so would this be a decent rate to change water?

1. Piranha are pretty adaptable to lighting. What ever looks good to you will probably be fine with them.
2. Sounds like you are feeding a good mix of foods. As long as all meat you feed is raw and not cooked or prepared in any way. Stay away from fatty fish like salmon and cod. Cutting meat into bite size pieces will lessen chance of injury and also keep water cleaner than if they just tear up a fillet. Remove uneaten food immediately.
Sick with a high quality floating carnivore pellet as a staple.
3. Since your tank is not yet cycled, be sure to get some Nitromax Fresh or Tetra Safe-start to add some live nitrobacter to your tank. This will help it cycle faster. Plan on two water changes a week for a month to keep ammonia at lower levels, then when the tank is cyled go to weekly 30% changes. Piranha are tough they should make it through the cycle but it's never a good idea. Unfortunately you don't have a choice but they should make it through. Good luck.
