I'll second that. My female was extremely healthy. Bred almost constantly with the male trimac in the pic. One day, she was swimming in spirals with no outward signs of disease or injury. One of the most aggressive and beautiful fish I've ever seen.

1fatdovii, where you at? Please verify if it's male or female. Or whoever has experience with istlanums. Ewok and I think it's a female.
 
I'd say it was a female. I own a 4" male and I've sold 3 females this past year to different folks that had a lonely males. Both sexes are aggressive and interactive.

Sorry. I'm growing this one out to hopefully show. He is developing a nice hump right now.
