I went into the lfs and there was a tank of reticulated rays for sale for $59. They seemed to be in good shape, does this sound like a good deal or not?

duno sounds about average. i heard they are hard to keep at that age. make sure you see em feed before you buy

It all depends. If they are really hard to get there (in Canada) or around you then sure. Or if you want one and these are heathly then it would be a good deal.

My LFS sells them from $44 to $50, and I paid $50 for mine at 4in.

You can get them a lot cheaper on the internet, but then you have to consider shipping.

So I say if you want it, go for it.

Right now im just pricing and trying to figure out the best ray to get and what the cost would be. There is a motoro that i have had my eye on and it would go to me for $90 its maybe 5-6"

What size does the reticulated ray get? i know the Motoro is 12-14" And its one of the smaller ones right? Is the reticulated 18ish" or am I thinking of the hystrix?

erm i think motoros get to 2 foot plus and are a much bigger ray than a retic, they get bout 12"

I am thinking the same thing but why do you suggest them over the reticulated ray? would you go for a hystrix over them all or where would you put them in the hiarchy and why?
