They probably would, but I don't like having to comprise their prefered temps. I'd had lousy luck with blue rams when kept under 84F, and bad luck with southern species when kept at 80F ... so I tend to keep them seperate. Some people have had luck, just not I.
 
sajica are pretty awesome, or you could try a smaller species of herichthys.
 
I would do the nanoluteus or a pair of archocentrus centrarchus. I just picked up pairs of both (different tanks) and the centrarchus are awesome. Plus, the nanos are an ACA Cares species, so keeping a pair/community and trying to get more of them in the hobby,
