40 gallon planted (pics)

Yeah I'm not really sure if I want to stick with the LED or go back to t5. My ground cover plants just don't seem to be getting enough light right now. I also think the issue is that the tank is 18 inches deep and most lights struggle to cover the entire tank front to back.

Here's an updated photo, got a new piece of driftwood on the left. I cannot get my dwarf sag to grow for the life of me. It's been stagnant for months :(

Here's a little update. I moved a few plants around. If anyone has any advise to get my dwarf sag to grow id appreciate it. It hasn't done a thing in months.

What type of Co2 set up are you running? 1bps is nothing, especially on a 40G tank. I'm running 4bps on my 20G. I would slowly increase your Co2 output until you reach 30ppm (you will need a drop checker to measure this). They're around $15 on Amazon.

As for the Dwarf Sag, are you supplying enough micro/macro ferts? Is your lighting bright enough? With high light, daily ferts and pressurized co2, my Dwarf Sag is sending out new runners every day. If it's not growing, there's obviously some type of limiting factor in your tank.

I.m going to move the dwarf sag to one of my shrimp tanks that are much shallower. They should get more light and do a little better. I will post pictures of my two planted shrimp tanks when they are done in a few days

Scored an awesome piece of driftwood recently so heres some new pics. My dwarf sag is finally taking off and my amazon sword sent up two stems so now I have 5 baby amazon sword plants in the front of the tank. The tank is filled with bumble bee catfish, clown loaches, 2 fire mouths and a ram.
