*Contemplating* purchasing some juvenile fish my supplier has in stock that I've been waiting on for a while now, but now isn't an ideal time so I'm trying to decide if I can make it work or should just leave things as they are lol. Would my 40 gallon long (so, same footprint as a standard 55 - 4 feet long - just not as tall) work as a QT tank for 1 x SRT, 3 x pearsei, and 3 x argentea juveniles sized about 2.5", for a month? Filtered by 2 Seachem Tidal 55 power filters and 50-60% water changes done weekly. Should I be okay temporarily for that month of QT time or am I asking for trouble?
After the one-month-ish QT, the plan would be to move the pearsei into my 6ft cichlid community tank, the SRT stay in the 40 to grow out some more, and the argentea would move into a 6ft, 135gal to grow out until I chose 1 individual from the group to live solo in that tank permanently.
