dang! that is one BA tank! Megeladon anyone?

Actually they should just fill it with stingrays and asian arowanas. Since they are hard to breed in a tank....put them in a lake!

70 KOI:screwy:
All that room and you dont put in an expensive fish!
If you are going to do it big, THEN DO IT BIGG!
Well, it is a koi breeding farm. Show quality koi can be very expensive. I seen them priced at 1-3k at some places. And anyone heard about that one prize winning koi with the special marking that a breeder offered 1 mil for?

And maintence is a big issue when you have a pond that big. Heating, filtering, and feeding(since you are talking about monsters) will cost a fortune if you want to house Pimas and other amazonian monster fish. in a huge pond like that.

wow... This forum is one sided.....

But for me I keep koi and aros, so I appreciate both. Awsome pond though...

Them koi breeders do have the money from those koi.

Original poster never said public pond. It is owned by a koi breeder in Japan, making it a privately owned pond. The post referred to the largest indoor pond.

As for your definition of a pond as being a water without side views, it is only your own. No dictionary references explicitly state that a pond cannot have side views.
Have u guys seen indoor pond of Sakai farm in japanhttp://www.sakai-ff.com/facilities_e.html

Bro,not everyone has the same interest..to them koi is like a jewel that has value..and every koi is not going to be the same in pattern.

seems like a waste to me , they have a giant pond but fill it with 70 kio. that could have had unlimited potental but they fill it with kio, what has this world become?
Their aim n goal is to produce world's best koi coz currently sakai is still the best in breeding finest quality koi. If wat he is saying bout 70 koi in that pond is true, it might be keeping potential champion for the next competition. And their price min. could go to no less than $15,000.EACH. Juz sharing my knowledge.

wow, 400,000 gallons. what are the dimensions on that thing??

while i dont think i would keep koi in there, i understand where the interest is. some of the koi that the breeders have are unbeilievable. the patterns are stunning and at 36" those are some pretty good sized monsters.
