5ft by 3 ft piece of 3/4 glass. the only place that called me back said 400 for that size. does that seem fair. plus its for a 500-600 gallon ply tank

i'm not by any means an expert on glass thickness, but the LFS near me has two custom built tanks made entirely of glass and they are both very large. Both have probably half inch and no framing to support them. Just seems like you can get away with thinner and save a few bucks.

3 foot is good at 3/4. 400 for that size sheet and thickness might be a good deal in your general area but you can also check different places farther away. I would actually shell out more than that in my local area but can get a deal for less about 70 miles away. I have no idea where rancho cucamonga is.

You should also get quotes on starfire glass it is much clearer.
