You may want to strip off all of the old silicone and reseal. That way you know you have a good tight seal. If all you are going to do is throw silicone over the area where he said it's leaking, you would only be putting a bandaid on the problem.

I am very heart broken and I get teary eyed when I think about him. He was like a brother because I grew up with the fish for 14 years as I am 16. He was getting worse ever since last november gradually getting skinny and loss of appetite. I have pictures at my fathers house which I haven't been there in about 3 weeks. He had just siliconed the tank before hand about 8 months ago so it's fresh but he had an air pocket he said and he never fixed it because it didn't matter as it was in his barn and it only dripped very very slow so I can just dab it up with some fresh cone.
