I stumbled across the opportunity to get a 400g acrylic tank and sump from a former lfs owner for $1000 is this a good deal? Dimensions are 8'x4'x20" or something like that and the overflows are in the center like a squared off "8".

yeah it is considering a new 300 gallon acrylic runs for around $2000. plus ur getting a sump as well. Get it!
So if my if I put the tank on my ground floor it should be fine right? I figure if the foundation of my house can support a car it can support a big tank.
its a good deal for acrylic..if it was glass itd be somewhat expensive..you should stock it with a arowana or some peacock bass!
It's going in my living room on concrete slab, there are no basements in Florida. I would Imagine its like parking a car in the garage. Though I don't know the pressure difference between the stand which I have to make, and the tires.
Ive got aro, cichla, fire eel, senegal bichir, tsn, rhino pleco, two oscars, green terror, florida gar and apple snail going in there.
