Most impressive!!!!! You will have crazy room to play. I hope your using an all star cast! Yeah I'm just a lil envious. I aint a hater. So i feel it best to congratulate!!!!!! Keep us informed.
 
wow nice build. do you think you will have it done in time to call it a Christmas present? gotta hate how these always seam to take longer than you planned. I also get a kick out of seeing people ask what your stocking it with when it has been reposted almost every page. koodos on building a monster for the little guys that is gonna look so cool to watch. if I am ever in SOcal I would love to see it in person. keep it up we are all waaiting anctiously

Actually, no.

Sorry to be a buzz kill but you are building a 1980g tank. But still it is nice none the less.
12' x 5' x 6' works out to be 2700 gallons. Since those are the outside dimensions the tank volume will be less.

Killjoy;) still very true...
 
Awsome. 3000g sounds better anyway. I like the idea of adding in the sump volume when talking about a tank. It makes more sense from a technical standpoint. Turnovers, pump sizing, water changes, etc. all depend on the total volume rather than what is in the display tank.





...by the way, I believe we were promised more pics.
