I still wouldn't trust it. I cringe when I look at it. If a professional fixed it and didn't tell you to just get a new plate of glass for the bottom, I would question how professional they really are.

Get tiles for the bottom, I wouldn't trust that hack job fix with a crap ton of sand or gravel on it.

I sure hope you got that in writing! That is one sketchy patch job and no way in hell would I trust that.

Been in the hobby for many, many years... Your definition of professional is subjective here cause I would oped for someone else to do a better job and at the price of 2k you say? Does not add up.
