Hi
Just picked up a 7x3x2.5 acrylic at the weekend, I have a motoro and 3 D. Pulchers to put in there and an Cichla Orino, what esle do you recommend, as well as a female motoro so i have pair.
I'm worried that 4 rays will be too much, opinions please!

Thanks

Four rays will be fine in that tank. I wouldn't really worry about it.

A silver or black aro would fill the top section out very well

some gars maybe, thats a huge tank dude, throw in some oscars maybe, some dithers, barbs or loaches, a cat or 2, tig or tsn, some bichirs maybe, n of course a silver or black.

TSN will get WAY too big for that tank...You do realise they get up to 5' right?

Chad

I don't want it too crowded as i want the rays to breed!:naughty:
But I want something different in there. I sold my Barramundi as it was fighting with my Dats. Would have like a nile perch but they get real big!
Don't want too many P Bass, maybe a payara?
Rays, Dats, PBass and something else but not a Aro this time:nilly:

Thanks

they don't get to 5ft. i don't think i've ever seen one that large even in some of the monster tanks in the articles section here. biggest i've seen in captivity is 38 inches in a pond. biggest i've seen in a tank is around 32 inches.

have you considered 1000 neons? they would school like MAD! add some of your rays to the mix and it'd be a really tight tank, even if the rays get a neon-y snack every now and then

aros would mix well with the rays at the bottom and the aros swimming in the upper section.
