40g big enough for L018 golden nugget pleco

just got the email. . he will arrive tommorow morning. . my tank will do him good for a while i hope. . i had a common pleco when i 1st got into fish when i was 15 . .was told he wouldnt outgrow the tank .. it was a 10 gallon . .so i bought a 40 gallon. .and he outgrew that. . and then one morning he was dead. .and he was fine the night before. . had him 4 years i have a 100g tank downstairs but that has my manueli in it.. dont think that would end well somehow lol
no its not a breeder. . its just a community tank. . it has 3 fish. . one is a mystery. .a clown loach and a humbug catfish
the tank has been running for years. . but months ago i woke up 1 morning and 10 of the 13 fish were dead . .the 3 i had left are the ones i still have. . never figuired out what happend to them

oh wow thats a shame . it says on the website 20cm max. . maybe i should have picked a differant type of pleco. . but its too late now its on its way
It depends. There seems to be more than 1 species described. Mine have been in the 75g planted for 3 years and are still under 3" just like when I got them.
