I built a new drip plate for my sump today. I am still working on the double filter sock holder from my other thread but it should be done soon. As you can see my old drip plate did not do a great job but it did work.

Thanks, A concrete bit in my dermal was the easiest to control and gave me the cleanest hole with no worry of cracking.

Right noe 900gph but by the time it gets to the tank i bet im in the 700 range. I am looking for a Mag 18 to upgrade.

HAHA That’s funny. It is 9"X12" if I remember correctly. I am getting better working with acrylic and I can’t wait to built my next pump for a salt water tank I want to set up in the next year or so. I am going with another 20 gallon tank for a 60-90 gallon display tank. I am setting it up for an external skimmer, a pair of filter socks, and as large of a fuge that I can fit with a Mag 9 return pump. Here is the tank with a 1" bulkhead drilled to feed the skimmer.

Just watch those holes to make sure they don't plug up if you have any bypass past the filter socks. I was having an issue with my filter socks at one point, and the material bypassing them started clogging all those drip plate holes immediately.

How was your arm feeling after all those holes?
